Wanatah

Lillie Beecher, age 84, of Wanatah, passed away Friday, May 17, 2002 at Porter Memorial Hospital in Valparaiso. On May 25, 1917 she was born in Logansport, IN, the daughter of Thomas and Charlotta (nee Birnell) White. On Nov. 16, 1937 she married Everett Beecher in Logansport. He preceded her in death on March 1, 2002. Survivors include three children: Helen Hull of Edwardsburg, MI, Gene (Dorothy) Beecher of LaPorte, Terry (Randy) Pickering of Valparaiso; four grandchildren and one great-grandson. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Baker and four brothers, Walter, Willard, Frank and Donald White.

Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, May 21, 2002 at the Wanatha Funeral Chapel, 309 N. Main St., Wanatah, IN, with Rev. David Kowalow-St. John and Rev. David Jennys officiating. Burial will be in Faith Methodist Cemetery in Wanatah. Visitation will be Monday, May 20, 2002 from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral chapel.
