Newspaper: Miner's Journal: wedding of Catherine Ann Beacher and Oscar Miller, 13 Aug 1896, Pottsville, Schuylkill, PA. 2 A very pretty church wedding was solemnized at Broad Mountain at 12 o'clock noon on Wednesday, when Catherine Ann, the accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Beacher, became the wife of Oscar Miller, one of Broad Mountain's popular young men. Rev. X. J. Bowers, pastor of the Reformed church, performed the ceremony. The bride was attended by Miss Irene Smith and George Eisenhuth was best man. The church was decorated with beautiful flowers and two little nieces of the bride acted as the flower girls. The presents of the bride were costly and beautiful. After the ceremony a dinner was served at the home of the bride's parents and a drive was taken. Mr. and Mrs. Miller will go to housekeeping in their newly furnished house at New Castle.
