Alderman Smith Saturday granted to Mrs. Andrew Vinklen. of Colebroook furnaces. a permit for the admission of herself and two children to the county almshouse. Mrs. Vinklen claims to be in destitute circumstances having been deserted by her husband. who is known as Andrew Seaman and gained some notoriety by his testimony in the George Clarence Washington murder trial. A warrant for Vinklen's arrest for desertion has been placed in the hands of a constable.

The children were born in Pennsylvania. The parents and their parents were born in Hungary. The father immigrated in 1889 and in 1910 was an alien. The mother immigrated in 1891. Curiously the census record states that son Andrew was born in Hungary and immigrated in 1898, but that would only be possible if mother Lizzie returned to the homeland for the birth, because Lizzie and Andrew were married in 1891 in Pennsylvania.

Michael was born in Pennsylvania. The others were born in Austria. The father immigrated in 1890, the mother and Andrew Jr. in 1905.

Because of the coming of the summer months, more persons than ever before are purchasing automobiles for both pleasure and business purposes. Henry Bleinstein, the plumber, of 116 South Ninth street, is the owner of a new Ford truck, and Andrew Winkler, who is employed at the Lebanon Steel Foundry, owns a new four-door Ford sedan. Both cars were purchased from Runkel and Bomberger, Ford dealers.

Obituary: Lebanon Semi-Weekly News: obituary of Andrew Winkler on 20 Jan 1930 in Lebanon, Lebanon, PA. 7 Andrew Winkler, 59, of 1934 Center street, died at his home Sunday afternoon at 12:45 o'clock of complications following an illness of three months. He was a member of St. Mary church and leaves his wife, Elizabeth M. Winkler; three sons, Paul A., Andrew S., and Michael S. Winkler. One grandson Paul Winkler.

14. Obituary: Daily News: Funeral of Andrew Winkler on 22 Jan 1930 in Lebanon, Lebanon, PA. 19 ANDREW WINKLER. Funeral services were held in the morning at 8:30 o'clock for Andrew Winkler, of 1934 Center street, at P. H. Thompson's Funoral home on South Ninth street, with further servlces in St. Mary's church at 9 o'clock in charge of Rev. Stanton. Interment took place at Holy Cross cemetery. Bearers were: Joseph Beicher, Daniel Sullivan, Stephen Arnold, James Foster, Daniel Mahoney and George Leininger. P. H. Thompson's Sons were in charge of funeral arrangements.
