With them is Mahlon's mother, Lydia, 62, with her son Hiram, 28. Children Grace, Charles and Edgar were born in Ohio, and all the adults in Pennsylvania.

2. Census in 1880 in Marion, Marion, OH. 6 The 1880 census recorded Malen E. Meily, restaurant and boarding, 42, living with wife Margret, 38; Grace, 16; Charles, 14; Edgar, 10; Isabella, 8. Also in the home was Malen's brother, Alfred Meily, 32. Everyone was born in Ohio, except Malen, Alfred, their parents, and Margret's parents who were born in Pennsylvania.
