1. Census in 1940 in Pottsville, Schuylkill, PA. ¹ The 1940 census recorded Thomas Beacher, father in law, age 6, living in the household of William Lloyd, 37, married for 8 years to Cora, age 30. Obviously the census taker wrote the wrong age for Thomas, 6 instead of 66, since Thomas was born in 1874. William and Cora have a daughter, Shirley, age 3. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania. William is a fire man in an iron factory; Thomas is unable to work.

2. Census in 1950 in Pottsville, Schuylkill, PA. ⁶ The 1950 census recorded at 806 North 3rd Street: William Lloyd, fireman at steel manufacturing company, 48, living with wife Cora, 40; and daughter Shirley, 13. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania.

5. Obituary: Republican and Herald: Obituary of Shirley L. Penberth on 27 Oct 2009 in Pottsville, Schuylkill, PA. ⁴ Shirley L. Penberth, 72, of Maple Boulevard, Deer Lake, Orwigsburg, died Sunday afternoon at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street.
Born in Pottsville, Feb. 10, 1937, she was a daughter of the late William J. and Cora L. Beacher Lloyd. She was a 1956 graduate of Pottsville High School and also a graduate of Ambassador College Correspondence School, where she earned a degree in theology.
She worked as a private home health care worker for families in the Schuylkill County area.
She was a member of Intercontinental Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Penberth, on Feb. 5, 1999.
Surviving are two daughters, Robin L., wife of Steve Mitchell, Orwigsburg, and Heidi L., wife of Robert White, Cressona; three sons, William F. Jr., husband of Carol Penberth, Shillington, David A., husband of Robin Penberth, Orwigsburg, and Timothy L., husband of Judy Penberth, Cressona; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from noon until the time of services Friday at Hamilton Funeral Home Inc., 116 S. Liberty St., Orwigsburg. Religious services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday with Pastor Dale Sherman officiating. Interment will be in St. John's United Church of Christ Cemetery, Orwigsburg.
