2. Census in 1950 in Womelsdorf, Berks, PA. ⁸ The 1950 census recorded at 224 E. High Street: George M. Bicher, salesman for nursery, 43, living with wife Emma U. Bicher, elementary school teacher, 46, and his mother-in-law Annie J. Wilhelm, 76. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania.

3. Residence: 224 E. High St., Womelsdorf, PA on 18 Jan 1950 in Womelsdorf, Berks, PA. ⁴

4. Cause of Death: ovarian carcinoma, 4 Apr 1967, Womelsdorf, Berks, PA. ⁶

5. Obituary: Lebanon Daily News: Mrs. Emma U. Bicher, Former Teacher, Dies on 4 Apr 1967 in Lebanon, Lebanon, PA. ³ Mrs. Emma U. Bicher, 505 W. Franklin St., Womelsdorf, died this morning in her home. She was 63 and had been ill for a year.

Borm in Womelsdorf, she was a daughter of the late Thomas M. and Annie J. Unger Wilhelm.

Prior to her illness she was a fourth grade teacher in the Conrad Weiser Jointure. She had been teaching since her graduation from the Kutztown State Normal School in 1923.

She was a member of Zions United Church of Christ, Womelsdorf.

In addition to her husband, George M. Bicher, she is survived by three sisters: Helen, wife of James Rickers, Goldendale, Wash.; Esther, wife of George Stoudt, Hastings, Minn., and Catherine, wife of E. Willis Minnich, Wyomissing; a son, Thomas F., Robesonia; four nephews and eight nieces.

Emma married George M. Bicher, son of Morris Henry Bicher and Clara Emma Spangler. (George M. Bicher was born on 7 Jul 1906 in Myerstown, Lebanon, PA ^{1 4 9 10 11}, christened on 13 Aug 1907 in Myerstown: Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lebanon, PA,¹⁰ died on 8 Aug 1975 in Ridley Park, Delaware, PA ^{1 5 11} and was buried on 12 Aug 1975 in Womelsdorf: Union Cemetery, Berks, PA ^{11 12 13}.)
