Miss Beecher is a graduate of the Big Spring High School, Class of 1959, and of the Joan-Lee Beauty School. She is employed at Charlotte's Beauty Shoppe.
Her fiance, who served four years in the Air Force, is employed at Keysone Masonry Co., Newville.

Clifford Jr, 80, of Carlisle, died on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Claremont Nursing Home, Carlisle. He was born on July 6, 1939 in Lomita, Ca. and was a son of the late James B. Clifford, Sr. and Helen (Secora) Clifford.

Jim served in the US Air Force from 1958 to 1962. He was a loving father and had retired as an Electrical Designer with Gannett-Flemming Inc. in Camp Hill after 38 years of service. Jim then worked part-time in the electrical department at Lowe's in Carlisle for 10 years. He attended Mountainview Christian Fellowship in Dillsburg. Jim was a longtime member of the Carlisle Masonic Lodge 260 and where he served as Chaplain. Jim was also a member of the Zembo Shrine, Harrisburg Consistory, Past President of the Oriental Band, the Tall Cedars and the Cumberland County Shrine Club.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sherry (Wisotzkey) Clifford, three sons; James B. Clifford, III (Tammy Marpoe) of Carlisle and Douglas R. Clifford of Newville and Scott (wife, Stacy) Miller of Dillsburg, one sister, Marlene Anderson, two grandsons; Derek and Brandon and four great-grandchildren. James was preceded in death by one brother; John and four sisters; Bonnie Jean, Kay, Marilyn and Connie.

A visitation will begin at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 followed by a memorial service at 4:30 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Pastor Vernal Simms officiating. Family burial will be in Westminster Cemetery.
