Geisel Funeral Home: obituary of Emma Elizabeth Beecher on 31 Jul 2016 in Chambersburg, Franklin, PA. 6 Emma Elizabeth Beecher, 82, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Chambersburg Hospital. Born June 30, 1934 in Huntingdon, PA, she was a daughter of the late Melvin and Edith Miller White. A homemaker most of her life, she loved spending time with and caring for her family. She served as Secretary and Treasurer of Beecher's Auto Salvage for 50 years. Mrs. Beecher was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed playing every Friday. Her husband of 62 years, Glenn E. Beecher, Sr., whom she married November 26, 1953, preceded her in death on May 27, 2016.

Surviving are three children, Bonnie Shaffer of Greencastle, Glenn E. Beecher, Jr. of Fayetteville, and Laurie Fiddesop of St. Thomas; nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; and a brother, Eugene White of Huntingdon, PA. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, William and Randy; four brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 3, 2016 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Terry Hoke will officiate. The family will receive friends from Noon until 2:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Fayetteville Fire Company, 101 West Main Street, Fayetteville, PA 17222 or the Food Pantry at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 44 East Main Street, Fayetteville, PA 17222.
