Merle and Jean Nace recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary at th home of their son, Darrell Cowden of Mechanicsburg. The couple was also honored by another son, Eric Nace of Mechanicsburg, and two grandchildren.
Mr. Nace is employed by Ralston Purina Brandy Lane.
Mrs. Nace is the former Jean Beecher. She is employed by Mac's Amusements.
The couple were married in Hagerstown, Md. They were given an anniversary trip to Nashville, Tenn., by their children.

10. Obituary: on 24 Dec 2010 in Mechanicsburg, Cumberland, PA. 12 Jean Louise Nace, age 82 of Mechanicsburg, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Claremont Nursing Home in Carlisle. Born June 17, 1928 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late Samuel M. and Emma Jane (Moore) Beecher.

Jean was the co-owner and operator of Jean's Fun Foods which appeared at numerous carnivals and fairs, and was also active at Jubilee Day in Mechanicsburg for many years. She was also formerly a Tri-Chem dealer and had a great fondness for dogs.

Surviving is her husband, Merle E. Nace; her sons Darrell G. Cowden and wife Marianne of Mechanicsburg and Eric M. Nace and wife Kim of Carlisle; grandchildren Jón, Brian, and Anna Cowden and Kayla Nace; as well as her brother Wayne G. Beecher. She was preceded in death by her brothers Samuel M. Beecher, Jr., Donald E. Beecher, and sister Marguerite Beecher McCall.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 29 at Malpezzi Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg. There will be a viewing from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Kingstown Fire Company, P.O. Box 247, New Kingstown, PA 17072.


Jean married Merle E. Nace, son of John Adam Nace and Rae Charlotte Conrad, in 1964 in Hagerstown, Washington, MD.1 (Merle E. Nace was born on 27 Apr 1934 in , Cumberland, PA 13 14.)
