The children were born in Ohio, the parents were born in Germany [error: should be Switzerland.] His real estate was worth $600.

A few houses earlier is neighbor John Stiner, farmer, 32, living with wife Catharine, 27; Regina, 7; Levi, 6; Joseph, 6; Amanuel, 5; Barbara, 4; Fanny, 3; and Aaron, 1. The children were born in Ohio, the parents in Germany [error: should be Switzerland.] His real estate was worth $2,000.

• Obituary: Herald of Truth, 1 Sep 1899. ¹ BUCHER. - Mother Anna Bucher, maiden name Amstutz, was born in Soden, Canton de Dell, Cantonment de Belfort, depardement du Haut Rhine, Oberelsasz, France, July 29, 1818. Emigrated with her parents in April, 1834. She united in marriage with Christian Bucher Nov. 24, 1838, to whom were born twelve children, seven sons and five daughters; four sons and three daughters survive her fourteen grandchildren, of whom nine survive, two great grandchildren, and two brothers. She died at her home near Columbus Grove, Ohio, on the 24th of August, 1899, aged 81 years, 26 days.

Anna married Christian Bucher, son of Christian Bucher and Christena Brekbuhl, on 24 Nov 1838.¹ (Christian Bucher was born about 1813 in , , , Switzerland ².)
