Amos left when young for New York State and then went to Kalamazoo, Mich. of which place he was one of the early settlers in 1837. He was married there, and died there in 1883.

He built the first factory in Kalamazoo, Mich., a sash and door company.


Amos married Jeanette A. Burrell about 1846 in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo, MI.
